♫ She's like a little bird

Little Bird | Music Codes

She flies from a to b
To see what she can see

She's far away from me
We danced on the moon

We danced by the sea
That land of blue gold

Is where we were free

The shiny blackest crow
Flew in to say hello

Though much to her surprise
He had two miles for eyes

She understood his words
That crow was very pleased

He gave to her his wings

And now she is free.♪

So, the senior pictures went well. I am in the process of working on them now. Things went naturally and it was a lot of fun! It helped that I was friends with the person who needed the pictures. I'm not sure how it would be if I didn't know the person who I was taking the pictures of.

The house behind us is being demolished this morning. I peeked over the fence and watched as the big machinery stomped down parts of the rickety house. I was transformed into a little kid watching a dinosaur; it's long neck craning above blocking out sunlight. Almost like an old monster movie as the careless tail of Godzilla toppled countless homes and skyscrapers.

It would be nice if we could buy the empty lot behind our house. I would extend the backyard so I can play badminton or croquet! I miss playing badminton.

Time to go make more hot green tea! I hope you're have a good day.

This morning I've been bumming around and looking at different blogs that have similar interests as mine. I've found some neat and interesting sites!

This site still feels a bit disjointed but I'm hoping that it can be easier to navigate or socialize in time.

The blue jays and crows were so vocal this morning. A few blue jays were playing around on the maple outside my front window. I must have watched them smiling for quite a while before they noticed me. The most boisterous one taunted me then decided to become more coy hiding behind the branches. It was cute!

So, today, it seems the birds want to be social.! It makes my heart smile!

In my bedroom; I have a window that doesn't have a screen. For the past two days a chickadee has decided to poke it's head through the curtain and chirp at me until my kitties notice it. It chirps out: "Hey, I can see you. This is a different view!" I'd love to leave it a treat but I don't want it getting to comfortable coming in my window. I would hate for my kitties to get to it.

When taking my walk this week, I've been getting more excited about fall. The sun is warm but the breeze has a chill. The trees are changing colors and preparing to shed their leaves. I can smell autumn.

Autumn carries a perfume that can send me into a dance. Excites my imagination with thoughts of costumes, candy, pumpkins, candles, ghost stories, skulls and happiness. A hint of cinnamon, licorice and burning wood.

I want to cozy up in front of the fireplace with my love. Hot sake, apples, the last desperate burst that roses can sneak out & thigh high stockings.

The season of spring we saw the awakening of the world. Now it's time to get ready to sleep once again...

The pussy willow blossomed out and now these buds are long gone.

My kiddo Savannah in blue.

Long nights are coming quickly and it's time to let the spooky stories flow.

Her dolls are antsy to get their chance to speak more clearly as the veil becomes more transparent.

Hush, hear her whisper...

While this was taken last spring it only reminds me how much time is unstoppable.

The winter's sun will soon step out and cover all in gray clouds. I'm gearing my body up for the change. Drinking lots of hot green tea and stocking up on items for soups. Mmmm! :9

Today I will be taking some senior photos for a friend. I'm a bit anxious and nervous. I always have a bit of anxiety when it's something I do professionally. I worry I won't do well. I worry that they wont like my take on it. I am sure everyone feels that way too but I can't help feeling it. Hopefully things will go well. I am happy about doing the pictures though. :D

Other than that, I will be working on past due pictures and helping my mom, when she stops by, drop off the washer/dryer she is giving us.

Here is the picture I used for my layout. Yup, not too exciting.

I adore the smell of Lily of the Valley.

I'm feeling rather worn out today. I think I need to make some more hot green tea and hopefully get a jump on pictures. I'm just kinda stuck though. I have a fleece blanket on me and Gigi, one of our kitties, on my lap keeping me nice and warm. It's like when you're warm under the covers and the air in the room is chilly so you don't want to get up and you end up sleeping in more.

Well, if I don't do it now, I'll have a harder time motivating myself throughout the day.

Fresh out of the shower.

Wow, I'm actually blogging on a weekend!

I have a quiet moment before I really need to get ready to go. Josh's dad is getting married today. While it's informal; I still like to look nice where ever I go.

Oh, speaking of Josh, I made his new layout for his blog. We decided that we'd take some pictures of his car and I had just the place for it. It also presented a few opportunities for more picture in the area.

Right now he is napping before I get him up in an hour. He had to get up at 4:30am to work five & a half hours but at least it was overtime. Three kitties have him pinned to the bed!

Well, I suppose I should post some pictures before I start to get ready.

A factory in Stevens Point.

Look at how much was paid for in comparison to how much was pumped. Those prices would be nice now!

Do you like it when I post eight pictures or just the regular four? I don't like to inundate anyone.

Okay, I hope everyone has a great weekend!! Find some adventure because there is always some hiding in plain sight.

In the complete darkness, before the sun was about to rise, I was snuggled into my warm blankets. I was living in the moment. I was listening to the now. My breathing, the wind blowing the branches and leaves to & fro, Josh's footsteps creaking beneath him on the hardwood in the hallway and being complete aware.

I didn't think of what I had to do. I didn't think if I had to get up. I didn't concern myself of any of the worries, to-do-lists or anything that occupies the busy day. No, I listened to the quiet, feeling quite complete, feeling part of it all.

It was a beautiful song that I took the time to embrace.

Now the day has begun, breakfast was set, served and eaten(Mango salsa, tuna((you couldn't even taste it)), seasoned rice, refried beans, fresh tomatoes and cheese burrito. Yum!), and everyone has bustled out the door.

There's a chill in the air again reminding us that September, no, fall is officially here with this full moon. Another contrast, another change, it's all balanced.

I'm sitting here sipping my warm tea, snuggly kitty in my lap with the window open as the wind gusts in. So, enough rambling, I'm not sure where I was going with this all anyways. I just wanted to share the moment too.

My sister, Rachel, had an art project for college. She had made a ton of paper cranes for it. Here you can see her showing her "catch". ;)

Her son, Jacob, seemed less enthusiastic about it.

It was so pretty.

Another one of our kitties, Ruru, we are quite sure he is part Maine Coon.

Here Rachel is setting up the cranes and taping them to the ceiling.

A ghost like Ruru hidden behind a shroud.

So, today I'll be working on more pictures. I have such a back log of pictures to share. Sooner or later, hopefully at this pace, I'll catch up on all of my photos. Though, I keep exacerbating the situation by taking more pictures each day! Haha, at least I'm kept busy. Oh! On a side note, I started another drawing too. That may have to wait as I play catch-up on my sketches too.

Let me know what you think or just share any thoughts. I'd love to hear from you. ♥

It's a warm fall morning. I wish that most days were like this year round.

"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower." ~Albert Camus

Living in Wisconsin is nice but I wish I lived somewhere warmer. I can not tolerate the cold that we have more than half the year.

Well, enough of focusing on what is not here today! I've been busy catching up on older pictures. This past year I haven't had a chance to work on many pictures due to lack of time. I'm finally playing catch up and you can reap the bounty of my work.

So, let us get to the pictures.

This is one of our cats, Houdini. He's enjoying being among the paper cranes.

Discarded gas pumps that I discovered in Stevens Point. I couldn't help but stop and take pictures. They looked like they needed some sort of attention.

A cemetery gate, also in Stevens Point, I snapped this picture in the car as we were passing by.

Our crankiest kitty, Oscar, is a poly dactyl. He has six toes on each of his paws. He's currently on kitty prozac.

So, here's a question for you, would you like the option to click on the images to see them larger than what I have them posted on this blog? Just testing the waters to see what would work best.
